The Makers
Kriz Rojas
I’m Kriz Rojas a recent Game Development graduate of Columbia College. I’m originally South of the border, Peru to be specific. I came to the states as a young lad with my mother and have been infatuated with media ever since. Video games struck me as the most dynamic and evolving media when I was picking a major. That, combined with the fact that I was a pretty big gamer made the decision a pretty easy one. I enjoy working in this field and love to get my hands dirty, so I consider myself a general jack of all trades. I can script, design levels, create mechanics/concepts, come up with stories, and manage a team. On Broken the majority of my time was spent scripting game mechanics and GUI menus along with communicating with the art team and implementing the art assets they gave us. Overall I’m excited and glad to be working on this game. It’s come a long way from when we started out with colored squares and circles almost a year ago and I see nothing but a bright future ahead.
Seth Golovin
Hi, I’m Seth Golovin, creative director of Broken. I’ve loved gaming my whole life and often dreamed of making games as a kid. I never thought I would have what it takes to make it in such a tough industry. But here I am today, living my dream and working on a great game with a team of incredibly talented people. On our team I take multiple roles, including writing the story, designing various mechanics, building the levels, writing some code, and other various odds and ends. My focus is on making sure the overall game experience fits the vision of the team and that the end result is fun for the player and rewarding for us to build. It’s incredibly exciting to be working on this amazing project and I can’t wait to show the results to the world.
Austin Light
Austin Light is a writer, illustrator, designer and geek. Born in Chicago and raised all over the country, he currently lives in Charlotte with his wife and son. He spends his time writing, illustrating and designing (duh), playing video games and running half marathons (not at the same time). He has way too many hobbies. See his work and/or contact him at www.austindlight.com.
Nick Niemiec
I’m a Graduate of Chicago Columbia College’s Game design program. I am the Scrum Master and Level Designer of Broken. I have some basic programming skills, unity, and while on this project have a great fondness for agile zen. Most my time on Broken is spent building, revising, and play testing levels as well as all doing all my Scrum Master duties. In my spare time on the project I try to get involved with everything I can. I really love this project and working in this team and can’t wait to show off Broken!
Amanda Humfleet
My name is Amanda Humfleet, and I’m a senior Illustration BFA student at the American Academy of Art in downtown Chicago. My favorite part of this game is definitely the bunny slippers, and I’ve been trying to squeeze them in where I can. Because I’m totally stealthy. I love drawing cute things, and pretty ladies especially, and I can’t say no to a fun project, no matter how much I try to. I do storyboards, I like to pretend I’m art directing, and promotional things like posters.

Elan Hickler
I am a sonic composer; a music composer with a sound designer’s heart. This means that I focus on the immediate sound of every part of the music before I think about the melody or chord structure. Therefore, music I create must have a pristine and realistic quality that perfectly coincides with the visual aesthetic of the medium. When I’m not creating music I am using my musical tools to experiment with and create sound. I love to invent dark droning atmospheres, sci-fi weapons, and damaged robot vocal chords. Whether it’s sound or music, I always imagine stories that go along with my work.

Spencer Riedel (Voice Actor)
I’m a voice actor and an audio guy, and I love games. I’ve done voices and musical scores for games and short films. Broken is one of the most fun projects I’ve ever worked on. I’ve loved doing voices for as long as I can remember. When I learned about the character(s) of Broken, and what I was going to get to do, I can’t tell you how excited I was. It’s been a fantastic journey and learning experience.
